Trump to Bush: "Go Into A Corner And Hide"

Damn.

When The Donald says you're a liability, you know you done fucked up. "I think President Bush has to go into a corner and hide if a Republican is going to get elected."

Calling Bush "probably" the worst president in American history, he said "we've gone from this tremendous power that was respected all over the world to somewhat of a laughing stock."

I mean, if Donald Trump, himself a pseudo-loser -- a rich, self-centered pseudo-loser -- calls you a drag on a political party, what does that say about you? And it's not like Trump is a great sage or anything, but in this case...As an aside, I've always thought of Donald Trump a bit like Ross Perot, except Perot's a better politician, a bit smarter, more successful, more trustworthy, and less of a dick. Other than that, they're the same person.

Nonetheless, for Trump to speak on the relative worth (or lack thereof) of the president -- and I use the term pejoratively -- to his party, sort of puts the exclamation point on a wasted 6.5 years.

But the misery extends beyond the GOP. In Bush's case, not only is he a drag on the Republican Party -- a group that seems to be imploding by the day -- he's a drag on the whole country. He just makes all of us Americans look bad: like a bunch of SUV driving, polluting, gun-toting, lying bastards. Wait...

Anyway, I constantly feel like I'm looking at a parody of John Wayne, and a poor one at that, when I see the president speak.

I'm sure W is a nice man; not having met him personally I can't skewer him as an individual. But he's a lousy Commander in Chief.

Dare I say it, the only person George W. Bush compares more-favorably to in the country right now is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, here on a state visit to the UN and Columbia University. And that could change too.

If Ahmadinejad acknowledged the Holocaust right now, he'd probably poll better than W.

Sigh.
